Check out this very interesting article about one of the most pressing issue facing our great state. I adore Louisiana's culture and colorful history (and it seems the author does too), but... his commentary pretty much explains why almost none of my friends from high school still live here.

I think his loan program is a great idea. And living in Louisiana has been a great blessing for us. We've loved our time back home.
And call me crazy, but I'm a little skeptical about his Bible reference. I could be totally wrong, but I just don't think that quote is in there. Not that I disagree- it's a great thought, I just think he might be quoting Hezekiah 12:17 or something. :)
