Our oldest baby (or Thing 1 as Andrew has taken to calling her lately) is nothing if not persistent. So after viewing a recent episode of
Curious George wherein said monkey gets into some crazy kite-flying predicament, Lucy could not think of anything else but flying a kite. For days. As in, "I wanna fly a kite, mommy. I wanna fly a kite, mommy. I wanna fly a kite, mommy." You get the idea.
So... Daddy dutifully bought the cheap princess kite and we all headed out to the park on Saturday to give it a go. And the results were glorious. A beautiful crisp sunny day with just enough wind to keep Ariel flying for a while left our big girl with a big grin on her face. Sometimes peristence (however annoying) really pays off!
